Who we are

EligoCoffee is a small artisan roastery based in Bronzolo, a quiet village in the Bassa Atesina area of South Tyrol. It was founded in 2023 by Moritz Hofer, who, after years of experience as a roaster and quality manager, decided to turn his passion into his own project.

Our philosophy is simple

making specialty coffee accessible to everyone — a coffee sourced directly from the countries of origin, roasted with care, and produced ethically and sustainably.

All our coffees are fully traceable: we know exactly where they come from, who grows them, and where they are processed. We love getting to know every bean, because behind each one there’s a story worth telling.

The EligoCoffee team is made up of true coffee enthusiasts, always searching for new origins and new experiences to share.

Among us there is even a “coffee hunter,” who travels the world in search of the finest coffees to bring directly to our roastery.

  • Moritz Hofer

    The coffee nerd of the team, in the coffee world for over 10 years. Founder of EligoCoffee, in
    2023 he decided to open his shop and sell his own coffee, unaware that from
    that moment on he would start working a lot and sleeping very little. Always
    ready to welcome you with a smile, when you visit him in the shop he’ll prepare
    you an incredible coffee and share all his passion with you.

  • Ilaria Marras

    From day one, a key part of EligoCoffee’s success. The creative mind of the group, she has the difficult task of keeping Moritz grounded and on the right track. Constantly looking for new ideas, she supports this project from behind the scenes in every possible way. Whether she actually loves coffee… or she only got into it for her husband — well, we’ll never know!

  • Davide Spinelli

    A man, a coffee, a quest. As well as being a friend, he is a highly respected professional in the sector with years of training all over the world behind him. You never know where he is, you never know what he's doing, but one thing is certain... Sooner or later, he'll pop up out of nowhere with innovative ideas and special coffees, ready to discuss new plans for conquering the coffee world in front of a fired barbecue.

Our store

Opened in November 2024, our artisan coffee shop is located in Bronzolo, Marconi Street 37. This is where the magic happens: our roastery, where we roast fresh coffee every day just the way we like it.

In our shop you can taste our coffees, discover their stories, and of course take them home with you. You’ll also find plenty of accessories for true coffee lovers — from filter brewing equipment to espresso cups, plus lots of special goodies signed EligoCoffee.

And if you want to learn more, we also offer courses and events on request to dive into the wonderful world of coffee
