In the In 1990, the Vergara family moved from Cundinamarca to Huila, where they founded Finca Las Flores. Their entry into the world of specialty coffee began in 2006, initiated by Nubia Ayure. Today, their sons Diego and Johan are dedicated entirely to specialty coffee, while their father Elhilberto handles commercial affairs. In 2023, they planted 18,000 new coffee trees at an altitude of 1,700 to 1,790 meters. At just 30 years old, Johan Vergara has already achieved remarkable success: first place at the 2019 Master of Coffee South Korea – Coffee Producer and Roaster and the 2022 Top Roast Colombia in the "Process Coffee" category.
