Single Origin Coffee - Africa Uganda
The Uganda gorilla Drugar comes from the Kasese district, where the farmers bring the coffee to be processed. Kasese lies at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains, between the Rwenzori National Park, the Kibale National Park and the Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Touton Uganda (who is responsible for the coffee) provides a range of services there aimed at improving the productivity, profitability and livelihoods of coffee households. The project for this coffee started in 2020 and has now reached some smallholder farmers in five different areas of the region between 1,200 and 1,800 metres above sea level.
This region has the advantage of having two harvests, the main harvest from August to November and the fly harvest from March to May. This coffee comes from the main harvest.
In contrast to other coffees from the region, this one is better processed with less defects in the green coffee and a better cup profile
