At an altitude of around 1100-1500 metres in the Bukit Barisan mountain, these Gayo beans are harvested from September to December. The complex cup profiles with fresh, fruity and herbal notes are characteristic of coffee from this region of Sumatra.
The plantation in Bener Meriah is one of the few owned by the export company CV Mal Agri, founded in 2014, whose mission is to create a dynamic and continuous growth of speciality coffee beans that is sustainable while supporting local smallholders.
