More information
This Indonesian coffee from EligoCoffee Gayo Mandheling comes from the Bener Meriah district around Lake Laut Tawar in Sumatra, where smallholder farmers cultivate coffee on small plots, often under two hectares.
The region lies along the Bukit Barisan mountain range between 1.100 and 1.500 meters above sea level. Harvest takes place from September to December, when cherries reach optimal ripeness.
The semi-washed process, typical of Indonesian coffees, enhances body and depth, giving this coffee its distinctive character. The project is linked to CV Mal Agri, founded in 2014 to support sustainable specialty coffee growth and local farming communities.
In the cup, it delivers a complex profile with mandarin brightness, herbal layers, cocoa richness and a subtle tobacco finish.
A bold and expressive coffee for those looking for something different, crafted the EligoCoffee way.
