Both Wil's grandfather and his father were coffee farmers in Yoro, a region in Honduras where he acquired his first knowledge of coffee cultivation.

In the 1990s, Wil moved to San Nicolás in Santa Bárbara, where he met his wife. Together, they started a grocery store and purchased a 2-hectare farm.

In 1998, a friend of Wil's offered him a unique opportunity. He invited Wil to visit San José de Los Andes, also in Santa Bárbara, to consider a potential farm exchange. When Wil saw the property, he was delighted and accepted the offer immediately. This farm is now known as “Finca El Paraiso”.

Since then, Wil and his family have been living a happy life on the farm, dedicating every square inch of it to coffee cultivation.

It wasn't until 2015 that Wil discovered the full potential of his land and realized that it could produce exceptional specialty coffee. That year, under the guidance of the San Vicente team, he produced his first micro-lot.
